Recently Released Adventure Game Created in SuperCard
Cos Russo has recently released an interactive adventure game called Alida. Development on the game has occurred throughout the last five years. From the Alida website:

Alida is a point and click interactive graphical adventure game. The story centres around four young men in the band Alida that attained phenomenal success with their first CD release. Loads of money coupled with wild imagination resulted in construction of "Alida" - the theme park.

It's an unusual place - a giant guitar 330 metres long!

But these guys didn't stop there - the guitar can actually be played
(assisted by machinery);
the internal workings of the guitar can be accessed and manipulated
(machine heads, switch, pots etc..)

As Alida was nearing completion things got complicated, their popularity was waning and money stopped coming in. Distrust set in. Each of the band members claimed different areas of Alida for themselves where they devised weird and elaborate systems to protect their wealth. They retracted from each other finally leaving Alida uninhabited.

Fifteen years later one of the guys is missing on Alida...

More information about Alida, including some pictures, can be found here. [order]

What?

Flip a coin gives you a virtual quarter to flip on your Mac, even when you're out of change. A boon for the chronically indecisive.

Why?

One day I needed to make a decision and found myself without a coin to flip. Reluctantly, I made my own choice. But the need for a virtual quarter to flip became obvious.

Welcome to SuperCard Games
SuperCard Games, part of the newly formed SuperCard Network, exists for two purposes that relate to the gaming world of SuperCard. The first purpose of the site is to encourage the development of games in SuperCard. The second purpose is to help promote the SuperCard-based games that already exist.

We have some future plans for expanding this site to fulfill the two purposes of SCG. As suggested by Brian Kelley of CompleatMac Software, we plan to add a section to SCG that will allow SuperCard developers to submit game and program segments that will assist other game developers in the development cycle of their own programs. One example would be a "game shell," which would include a project with features written that most or even all new games would need.

We look forward to bringing you the latest SuperCard related gaming news and anything else that relates to this sector of the SuperCard world.
